90 minute pursuit race with handicap start as per Plymouth Yardstick ratings. The course will be laid the morning of the race with competitors informed of the course once on the water by the race boat. It is likely to be a start in the outer harbour, first leg up towards bolt tail, second leg towards Burgh Island/Thurlestone, third leg around the starting buoy. The winner will be the leading boat on the course 90 minutes after the first boat started.

Logistics
The race will commence at 1000 on Monday 29th August (high tide approx 0815). Register with John Tiner on the Outer Hope slipway by no later than 0915. You will be required to sign a declaration of responsibility including confirmation of your public liability insurance. Please ensure you are on the water by no later than 0950 ready to receive course instructions and your starting time . At the end of the race the race boat will inform the 1st, 2nd and 3rd boats of their standing. Prize giving will be at the top of the Outer Hope slipway once all the boats have returned to the beach.

Launch from Harbour or Inner Hope Slipway
A team of two start in their boat in mid harbour, row to the beach
and then the runner speeds from the beach to Inner Hope slipway.
The rower should be back at Inner Hope to pick the runner up and they
both row back to Harbour Beach. Muscle power only please.
